Dr. Donald Endres has been with GWENT since 1997. Following an undergraduate degree at UCLA and medical school at the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Endres completed his specialty training in ear, nose and throat at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Endres has completed fellowship training beyond the traditional specialty training. In 1997, he spent six months at Oxford University focusing specifically on diseases of the ear. In 1996, he spent a year at the University of Adelaide in South Australia focusing largely on surgery of the head and neck.
Since arriving in Alaska, Dr. Endres has developed a broad ear, nose and throat practice focusing on otology, head-neck surgery, and sinus surgery. While here he has assisted teaching head-neck anatomy to the first-year University of Washington medical students based in Alaska.
Dr. Todd D. Parrish joined Geneva Woods Ear, Nose and Throat Associates in July 2001. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in microbiology and Asian studies and a Master’s Degree in molecular biology from Brigham Young University. His medical training was done at the University of Utah School of Medicine, followed by a residency in otolaryngology/head-neck surgery at Indiana University.
Dr. Parrish is trained in all aspects of otolaryngology including endoscopic sinus surgery , thyroid surgery and pediatric otolaryngology.
He enjoys spending time with his family of four boys and enjoys biking and spending time outdoors in Alaska.
Dr. Jennifer Wingate earned a degree in biology at the University of Alaska Anchorage prior to attending medical school at the University of Washington. Before embarking on specialized training in otolaryngology, she completed an internship in internal medicine followed by a three-year residency in emergency medicine and, since 1993, is also Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. During 1996-2001, she completed her four-year otolaryngology residency at the State University of New York in Buffalo, and she completed a one-year residency in otology at The Lippy Group for Ear, Nose and Throat in Warren, Ohio.
During her time away from the clinic, Dr. Wingate enjoys skiing, swimming, running, biking, kayaking, hockey, figure skating and cooking. Originally from Seattle, she moved to Anchorage at the age of 17 and is happy to have now completed her many years of training in the medical field and to be home with her family to enjoy both her medical practice and "Alaska-appropriate" recreational activities.
Rounding out the medical staff here at GWENT is Certified Physician Assistant Ricky D. Stariwat. PA Stariwat received his Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, graduating in 1991. He completed several years of experience in primary care medicine prior to specializing in ear, nose, throat, and head and neck medicine.
